2018 summer holiday cricket activities at Clifton Alliance
This year we’ll have more kids’ cricket activities at Clifton Alliance than ever before. From fun and games for 5-9 year olds to top quality coaching for Under 15s, there’s something for everyone. Find out more below and follow the links to book your places online.
Summer cricket coaching classes
These classes will repeat the successful Performance Development Programme (PDP) that we ran in the May half-term holiday.
The days will be based around an intensive two-day programme focusing on the development of tactical, technical, physical and mental aspects of the game.
It’s aimed at players from U11 to U15 who want to develop their existing cricket skills with top-quality coaching. Not just those who’ve played at representative level.
We have four ECB Level 2 coaches running the classes:
- Simon Cook, currently ‘still’ on extended break from playing and coaching duties at Clifton Alliance in Dubai, teaching and coaching cricket part time including at the ICC headquarters for 3 years and with It’s Just Cricket for the last year which included a week in Bangalore;
- Sam Grant, current Clifton Alliance First XI all-rounder and graduate of the National Performance Centre at Loughborough where he played first class cricket;
- Liam Burnell, sports psychologist currently working with Yorkshire County Cricket Club and with experience coaching in England, Sri Lanka and different parts of Africa; and
- Jack Heartshorne, current senior player and recent graduate of our junior section. Multi time winner of Junior Clubman of the year and multi-nominated for Vale League Young player of the year. All round legend in the making.
